The owners of this beautiful 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 4400 square foot, Flagstaff, AZ custom home wanted a home that was stylistically,180 degrees different than their full time Desert style residence. It is constructed of chinked cedar log siding, log trusses and Telluride stone to blend with its wooded setting.

The owners of this 3,250 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, timber / log style custom home in Flagstaff Arizona desired a home that would compliment the land, building materials, finishes and building methods. It was important to use materials that matched the forest setting and was energy efficient for the local climate.

To achieve the Owner’s wishes, the house was designed and constructed with log cedar siding, log trusses, live edge siding, Trex decking, and local Malapais Mountain stone. The home was built with energy efficient building methods, materials, and is EnergyStar rated.

This mountain contemporary home is a 3,400 square foot custom home featured in Mountain Living Magazine. The space includes a master bedroom with its own fireplace, a large covered deck with a built-in grill and its own fireplace, two bedrooms on the downstairs floor and two-and-a-half bathrooms. It also has one rare feature: a half-floor rise to a single room that functions as an office space. The room almost feels like a tower, and its windows offer views of the San Francisco Peaks. The house takes an interesting form because it is built on a slope that’s more than a 15-percent grade.
