The PSA is a paid planning engagement that happens before any construction contract is signed. It is where we do the critical work of defining your project: assembling the design team if needed, developing a detailed budget, building a project schedule, and aligning everyone before construction begins. The PSA is how we eliminate the most common causes of budget surprises and project stress — insufficient planning before the work starts.
Costs vary based on design, site conditions, and finish level. General ranges to set initial expectations:
- Custom homes: $500–$1,000+ per sq ft
- Large-scale renovations: $150,000–$600,000+
- Commercial tenant improvements: $100,000–$500,000+
- New commercial construction: $800,000–$10M+
These are starting points, not quotes. Accurate pricing for your specific project comes through the preconstruction process.
Prevention starts in preconstruction. We use a fixed lump sum contract, so your construction cost is defined before we break ground. We invest heavily in the PSA phase to develop detailed budgets and align scope clearly. During construction, all changes go through a formal written change order — cost and schedule impact spelled out and approved before any work proceeds.
Every client receives written weekly progress updates covering what was completed and what is coming next. There are no radio-silence phases.
